SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE
Dusit and MYL were in discussions on a website revamp for 43 hotels into 5 languages. Typically, the timeline to develop the content for a project like this, between copywriting source material, translation, proofreading, data entry, SEO, and layout checks, can take upwards of five to six months.
While working through the project plan with Dusit, the Client requested that the site be launched in two months.
MYL proposed a unique, timesaving technical solution that involved extracting content for translation directly from Dusit’s Content Management System (CMS). Utilising MYL’s cloud-based Translation Management System, we were able to coordinate this project between 12 linguists in real-time, while sharing the glossary and database elements to maintain consistency.
Completed work was then imported directly by the CMS, eliminating the need for manual data entry of the five different languages. MYL’s technical team was also on standby to assist Dusit’s development team with the proper configuration and set-up of the CMS.
As a result, MYL was able to reduce translation time by 50% and data entry time by nearly 80%, ultimately allowing us to meet the ambitious deadline set by Dusit’s management.
